ABOUT

What Filingo is, and how it works

Filingo is a set of 17 free, browser-based tools for Indian Chartered Accountant firms, together with Firm Desk, a paid board that tracks every client's filings each month. The tools convert TDS challan PDFs to Excel, reconcile GSTR-2B and Form 26AS, check section 43B(h) payments to MSMEs, scrutinise a Tally Day Book and more. Files are read inside your browser and are never uploaded.

Why the tools are free

Because they run in your browser, they cost almost nothing to provide, and free is already what this market expects. We would rather you use them every day and think of us when the firm needs a shared board.

What we charge for

Firm Desk. Import your client list once and each month the board lays out exactly what each client owes, from GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B to TDS deposits, returns and ROC forms. Staff click to mark progress, overdue turns red, and a finished reconciliation can tick the client's box. Pricing is flat per firm with unlimited clients: Solo ₹1,999, Firm ₹4,999 for five logins, Firm Plus ₹9,999 for fifteen, per year plus GST. We never charge per client, per GSTIN or per return.

How we build

Rules, not guesses. Each tool's logic is a plain, tested rule set: a GSTIN check digit, a section 43B(h) time limit, a cash-payment threshold. The challan reader was corrected against real ITNS 281 and 281N receipts, and it refuses to pass a challan whose breakup does not add up. Where we could not verify something, such as TCS codes under the new Act, we leave it out and say so.

Common questions

Is Filingo really free?
Yes. Every tool is free with no usage limit and no signup. The only paid product is Firm Desk beyond 10 clients, from ₹1,999 a year, and extra staff logins.
Is it safe to use with client data?
The tools read your PDFs, spreadsheets and Tally exports inside your own browser. They are not uploaded, so there is nothing on our servers to leak. Firm Desk stores only what you type in: client names, identifiers and the status you mark. It never stores documents or portal passwords. The optional AI notice drafter is the one exception: it sends the notice text you approve, with PAN, GSTIN and similar numbers replaced first, to OpenAI. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models, and keeps abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days.
Who is it for?
Practising Chartered Accountants, article assistants, tax consultants and accountants in India, especially sole practitioners and firms with up to about fifteen staff.
Can I rely on the results for filing?
Treat them as a careful first pass. Due dates are the default statutory dates and exclude extensions, the TDS code table covers common sections only, and every reconciliation, flag and certificate draft should be reviewed by the professional before anything is filed or signed.
