TDS challan PDF → Excel

Drop 50 challan receipts, get one clean return-ready sheet.

IN SHORT

Filingo's TDS challan converter turns any number of income-tax challan receipt PDFs (ITNS 281 and the new ITNS 281N) into one Excel sheet with BSR code, date of deposit, challan serial number, TAN, section and the full tax breakup, ready for the quarterly TDS return. It is free with no limit on files, needs no signup, and reads the PDFs inside your browser so they are never uploaded.

STEP BY STEP

How it works

  1. Download the challan receipts from the e-filing portal (e-Pay Tax → Payment history) or from your bank.
  2. Drop all the PDFs here at once. Each is read in your browser.
  3. Check the table, then download one Excel with BSR code, date, challan serial number, TAN, section and the tax breakup, ready for the TDS return.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does it read the new ITNS 281N challan under the Income-tax Act 2025?
Yes. It reads both ITNS 281 (Assessment Year and a nature-of-payment code such as 94Q) and ITNS 281N (Tax Year, the section-wise payment table, section 393 and the four-digit payment code).
Are my challans uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened by your own browser and never leaves your computer. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
How do I know it read the amounts correctly?
Each challan is cross-checked: the breakup must add up to the total, and the total must match the amount line. Anything that does not agree is flagged instead of passed silently.
Will it read scanned challans?
No. It needs the text-based PDF that the portal or bank generates. A scanned image has no text to read.
