This free XBRL reader opens the instance document filed with AOC-4 XBRL and shows it as financial statements: balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow with the previous year alongside, the notes as text, and every fact in a searchable table. It reads files under both the AS and the Ind AS taxonomy, exports to Excel and prints to PDF. The file is read in the browser and never uploaded.

How it works
- Get the .xml instance from the preparer or your filing records. If it came as a .zip, unzip it first.
- Drop it here. The company, CIN, period and taxonomy show at the top; choose lakhs, crores or rupees to read the figures in.
- Read the statements and notes, search all facts for any element, then download the Excel or print to PDF.

Common questions
- Do I need the MCA XBRL validation tool or Java?
- No. It reads the instance file directly in your browser. It does not check the file against MCA's business rules; use the MCA tool for that before filing.
- Why are some figures under 'Other amounts reported'?
- The statements place line items whose element names are known, in Schedule III order. Every other amount in the file is listed below them in file order, so nothing is left out. Ind AS files have more of these, because fewer Ind AS element names could be checked.
- Can it open a .zip?
- Not yet. Unzip it first and drop the .xml inside.
- Is the PDF the same as the signed financial statements?
- No. It is a readable copy of what was tagged in XBRL, with labels taken from the element names. Check any figure you rely on against the signed statements.
